A mystery

I was out buying a movie today in my favourite store. Nothing had changed, thank God 😉 but something caught my eye and made me wonder a bit.

All videos are just standing there so you can see the covers. All movies except pornography. They are hidden behind a cover of two girls hugging. Because for some reason we can’t handle lo watch the cover of those films. I know that some people probably would be offended, and that kids shouldn’t see that kind of stuff.

But but, children get a computer and a fancy smartphone when their eight or something like that. I’m pretty sure that they’ll stumble into stuff way nastier than those covers. Just saying, the internet is a filthy place 😉

But that’s not what annoyed me. My delicate soul isn’t traumatized by seeing some pornographic covers, I honestly can’t be offended by that. But what I don’t get is why the horror movies is allowed to stand amongst the ‘normal’ film. Those covers can be scary and cause me trauma. Pictures of cut up throats, creepy masks, blood and I could go on..

That’s pictures which can haunt me for days, and apparently kids are allowed to see that..

I so do not get the world.

I would much rather have my children see some porn than those sick horror movies. I don’t get why sex should be hidden, when brutal murders and stuff like that can just be displayed next to Dirty Dancing.

I don’t get that.

If you haven’t guessed already, I hate horrormovies. I simply can’t shake those nasty images, they stick to me like Velcro and I can’t sleep for a week. I know I’m overly sensitive, but I can’t help it and I’m a bit sick of that the society doesn’t look out for my poor mind. It doesn’t seem fair.

I hate it when they in cinemas show trailers for scary movies, Why?? I technically know why, but I sit there closing my eyes and holding up for my ears. I do this because if I catch one glance of something creepy, that image will never leave.
Then I can spend the next week constantly looking over my shoulder and be afraid to leave my apartment. I can even be to scared to go to the bathroom. That sucks!

You might think that I should get some help, but I’ve gotten help several times and they all say the same thing: you’re not mentally ill, you’re just a fragile person with a very sensitive mind.

So, this go out to all of you out there who’s like me. It’s tough being scared of movies, it sucks. Especially back when Johnny Depp only made horrormovies. I was so mad at him, but then he made chocolate and pirates, so I forgave him 🙂

What kind of a world do we live in when sick things like murder and abuse is more acceptable to watch than porn? I sure don’t get it.

I’m sure that some of you will argue that porn isn’t real movies, but just girls being used for sex in bad lighting. Well, that might very well be, but no one ever saw of their leg in a porn..

haha that would be kind of bad porn it someone lost a leg half way through :p
but I get where you are coming from- I would much rather look at the porn covers than the horror movies’ covers… and I hardly ever watch horror mivies… except the ones with Johnny Depp 😛
I know what its like to not dare to go to the bathroom because some creepy axemurderer or -even better for me- a ghost of some sort, might be waiting behind the door 😉 I am not mentaly ill either by the way- got that on paper 😛
And yes, something should change, kids are becoming desensetised when it comes to violence but they still cant speak openly about sex… what a great world…
